Lane has always been an amazing guy and this podcast is a great to see that. The knowledge and experience and passion he shares is amazing. I also love how vulnerable he is because that helps us as the audience relate. So I feel like baseball fan or not you can grasp something from this podcast and apply it to your life. Lane, your the man brother I’m so proud of what you have become.

The experience and passion for youth baseball is very evident in this podcast. The guests and hosts do an outstanding job of covering a wide range of very relevant topics that are interesting and immediately useful to youth coaches at all levels. It's a must listen!
Quality coaching insight
You can tell through every one of the episodes that Jimmy really cares deeply about the game and the athletes that play it. The guests he brings on the show have such tremendous experience that Jimmy is able to really dig into meaningful dialogue with them. Most importantly, everything always comes back to love of the game and growth within.

Jimmy not only hosts the show, he also lives what he teaches. I’ve been around the game as the son of a professional coach, player and coach for 50+ years. I use this podcast to learn from some of the best in the game. If you have a player, are a player, or coach this podcast is a must listen.
Worth your time to listen
The Clearing the Bases Podcast is a fantastic podcast on youth baseball development. The shows are always enjoyable to listen to and go in-depth with their guests and provide listeners with advice, drills, and skills that they can take back to their team, players, and children.

Outstanding Show
Jimmy's Podcasts are awesome! He really gets some excellent guests which cover in detail the long term development of players in the game. This is something all coaches should listen to because Jimmy knows the right questions to ask because he is a great baseball mind. He allows coaches to understand that the basics are so important and how to teach them in a way kids have fun, learn and get better, end result they stay in the game longer. All coaches, Volunteers, High school, Travel, College and Pro coaches should listen to the show because they will all learn something to help them with their players development.
Growth Mindset
Jimmy and Dave do a great job digging deep and asking the right questions. With the caliber of guest and the inquisitive mindset on CTB it makes for a lot of "ahha" moments.

I was honored to be asked by Jimmy to be on his show. An immediate connection of old-school baseball guys who love the game more than our words can express. We know the game from a certain era and that is the year that we love. It is the era that we talk about, and is the era that we think was the best.
